#ThrowbackThursday to them uber lean days. Looking back to that time it’s INSANE to even think I got so smol. I miss it. Not being that lean lol but that drive, that regiment, that mental fortitude required to work towards that goal day in and day out.

Not all days are PRs, not all days end in new clients or new contracts, not all days are wins. Sometimes you show up, you try, and you fail (or rather, you don’t meet the expectations you were hoping for) dis is me failing my 2nd attempt at 185 👉🏽 hitting 175 which was my previous max 🤷🏽‍♀️ it be like that sometimes

Them legs is thiccc 💃🏽 Honestly, what I wanted to share has nothing to do with the photo BUTT here it is 🤓 I was in your typical “I wanna make it and not be bound to the confines of corporate America but there’s no way I can cuz I’m trash (lol)” funk for a while. I let my business kinda take a back seat. I wasn’t excited about it anymore. Mostly because I thought I wasn’t good enough, and really still kinda don’t. I feel like I’m faking it. It’s so weird to yo-yo between “my photography is hot shit” to “nah girl, it’s just shit” 😂😭 And I realized it’s because I’m holding myself to such a high standard - the standard of people who are LITERAL professionals who have been working on their craft for yearrrsss/decadesss. I’ve only been taking this seriously for a bit over one. I still have so much work to do. I’m still progressing. I know I am. & if you’re in the same position, with a career, with fitness, with anything that takes time... know that you’re putting in that time and effort and it’s gonna be worth it. A success or a lesson, but worth it. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Bought a blazer now I’m feeling fancy AF. I’ve been really looking to being a bit more “stylish” because I LIVE in comfy(boarderline bummy)/gym clothes. It’s something that I’ve been wanting for a looooooong time but I’m finally doing it. I’m in no way gonna become a fashionista but I’d like to put a little more thought into the way I dress than “is this clean? Cool” 😅 Happy Friday!

Some days I feel like I got it, some days I don’t. Like today. Albeit I was pretty proud of how hard I pushed myself on the WOD but strength was not there today. We had 6 AHAP (115), 4 AHAP (125) & 2 AHAP (130) BUT I had to reset for rep 2 & I previously did 130 by 4 😩 trying not to be too hard on myself because before a few weeks ago I never even handled 130 so, small victories.

Clean + Hang Clean & Jerk AHAP @ 135. All kinds of not feeling it this morning, can you tell? Also, I joined a bro gym again 🙃 went on Sunday and realized how much I missed hypertrophy werk &, honestly, just putting in my headphones and being in my own world. So I’ve decided to do a 3 day CF / 3 day accessory gym split. We’ll see 🤷🏽‍♀️

*PR* Hang Snatch + 3 sec pause Overhead Squat w/ a side of wobbles @ 100lbs (👉🏽85lbs). Feels like I’m finally understanding the movements...it only took about 5 months 🙃 progress is progress though!

Back in October we did 5 overhead squats AHAP and today I was kinda bummed I did the same weight (105#) but looking back at the video 👉🏽, there is a world of a difference. Sometimes I gotta take a step back and realize it’s not always about how much weight I can lift and that it isn’t the only determining factor of progression 😩 #DoYouEvenPatience

**DEADLIFT PR!!!** went in with the intention of hitting 325 for a PR (2nd vid) but it moved so well I went up to 335 🥺 a bit of back rounding and you can see my grip giving out buuuuut I finally hit a PR after yearrrs at 315. Only 6 days into the new year and I already hit one of my fitness goals 😭😭
