Nothing beats Paris cafe culture. One of my favorite things about living in France, and one of the biggest differences I see with France compared to the US. In the US, the dining experience typically feels rather rushed- you sit down, expect to be served immediately, eat, and leave. That’s just what we are used to, plus if you hang around, your server is annoyed with you and wants you to leave. They are often paid substantially below minimum wage, thus working for tips. They want to flip their tables and make money. In France, dining is much more leisurely. It’s very common to simply order even just a cup of coffee and sit and enjoy your table and company for hours. All service is included in the price. This photo is from lunch with πŸ“· @patrickcolpron at @cafeodessa. Obviously a bit staged, but that’s what we do πŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ I miss being stared at in a restaurant as we make hundreds of photos, take turns posing, then record video, and finally eat cold food πŸ˜…

A cold, cloudy, rainy day at Place Dauphine. Similar weather to what we’ve been having here in Cincinnati πŸ™ƒ

Something I always recommend to first-time visitors in Paris: take a cruise on the Seine! Definitely considered touristy, but they’re informational, relaxing, and offer lovely views of the city β›΄ many don’t even require booking ahead and depart multiple times throughout the day. Typically the boats will have bars or somewhere to purchase food/beverages before departure, so you can sit back, sip wine, and enjoy the views 🍷

I’ve still never managed to see this little cafe covered in wisteria, but it’s still cute nonetheless!
