Those who are signed up to our weekly newsletter (get regular updates from Folkestone Harbour Arm via our website) will know that we intended to start the Folkestone Harbour Arm 2020 Season on the 27th of March. However, circumstances have changed and in common with many other venues and attractions we must reflect official advice to encourage social distancing by postponing the start of our programme for 2020. Although we will not be staging events that draw large crowds, as an open-air space the Harbour Arm will remain open for promenading. We hope this will enable you to enjoy the fresh sea air and incomparable views as the days get longer and the weather improves. Our 19 independent traders are a major part of what gives the Harbour Arm its identity, but many of them are facing particular challenges at this time. As a team, we’re looking at ways in which we can all support them and we will be sharing details with you soon. We can announce immediately that both @drlegumes and @dockerbakery have introduced an expanded delivery and take away service, with Dr Legumes launching a special take-away and delivery menu (more details on our website) and Docker expanding their beer and bread delivery service (more details on our website) Please stay safe, look out for each other and follow advice available at Public Health England. We will be in touch with regular updates during the next few weeks. Warmest wishes, Diane, Denice, Mitchell, Dan and Olivia The Harbour Arm Team Folkestone Harbour Company • 📸: @roblodgephotography

After having to partially close due to recent storms, the #HarbourArm is now fully open for promenading. Why not grab a bite to eat or something to drink at one of the outlets open during weekends at this time of year? @bobbiesbakehouse @drlegumes @harbourcoffeeco @hellohairfolkestone
This weekend only, two incredible pieces of #SoundArt will be coming to #FolkestoneHarbourArm as part of the @profoundsoundfolkestone festival, an experimental music festival taking place this weekend. Saturday 22nd & Sunday 23rd, 11am - 5pm: Wave Machine Local artist & composer Craig Gell introduces an audio-sensory wave-machine in a shipping container. Experience real-time sea wave data as it's streamed from an observation buoy floating offshore and converted to sound. Look out for signs in the carpark to find him. Saturday 22nd, 11am - 5pm: Containment by Johnny Tomlinson 'Containment' is an interactive musical installation where you are invited to drop in and be part of the composition. Found sounds and music are triggered by visitors to create sonics which in turn resonate and interact with each other; making an ever-changing atmosphere that is both containing and communal. Drop by the Customs House to take part.
Have you sampled the @DrLegumes winter menu yet? New items include Peameat Ballotine, Curried Mince Meat Pie and the return of their beloved Seitan Rubens sandwich. Learn more via the link in our bio.

Our hope is that it’ll now be easier than ever to enjoy #FolkestoneHarbourArm.
