MY BOOTY BUILDING BASICS 🍑🦄💕 So I’m no expert but a lot of you ladies have asked me about this so here are just some of the main things I’ve done that have helped me grow my glutes in particular! . 1️⃣ Training legs 2-3 x a week (always ensuring at least 48 hours between sessions) 2️⃣ Always doing glute activation exercises before my actual weighted session 3️⃣ Mixing it up, I don’t do the same routine every leg day for weeks on end 4️⃣ Heavy hip thrusts or glute bridges in almost every single session, they’re my favourite exercises for building my glutes 5️⃣ Focusing on squeezing the gluteal muscles in every exercise, rather than just going through the motions 6️⃣ In most leg/glute exercises I push through my heels rather than toes/ball of my feet, and I’ve found I feel the burn a lot more in my glutes rather than legs 7️⃣ Most of my heavy exercises are kept at a weight where I can’t do more than 10-15 reps in a set (and lighter ones at 20 reps max) 8️⃣ Eating a lot of food, muscles wont grow much if you’re under eating 9️⃣ I try to include protein in my lunch and dinner every day; beans, lentils, tofu, vegan protein powder, nuts, etc 🔟 I always eat some type of protein source after my session, even if I’m not ready for a meal yet I will still have something like a protein shake soon after working out 💪🏽

NOV 2019-CURRENT🤩 didn’t realize the changes I’ve made until I was looking back at some old pics!! ⁣ ⁣ In the left picture I was “buliking” (aka an excuse for me to eat soooo much Qdoba, tbh) and on the right is the best I’ve ever felt😊⁣ ⁣ The left is probably the heaviest I was this past year and the right is the leanest, I fluctuated a lot through out the year though. 👀⁣ ⁣ What I’ve been doing this time around, compared to when I’ve gotten this lean in the past: ⁣ ⁣ -focusing on eating lots and LOTS of fruits and veggies, drinking a lot of water ⁣ ⁣ -lifting heavy still 😤⁣ ⁣ -getting adequate sleep⁣ ⁣ -not worrying about the scale or obsessing over numbers⁣ ⁣ -doing some TOUGH but amazing cardio workouts at F45⁣ ⁣ -being intentionally very active during my days (NEAT for the win)⁣ ⁣ -keeping my mental health game strong ⁣ ⁣ ✨Although I’m enjoying how I look, I’m not really worried about my body composition right now. I’m more worried about feeling healthy, fueling my body, and doing workouts that make me feel powerful. ⁣ ⁣ Everyone’s bodies are different and genetics play a big role, but if you find yourself unhappy counting macros or feel overwhelmed with all the info out there- I highly recommend just focusing on overall health!! Get active, sweat often, fuel your body with plants, and focus on your mind too!🤍✨
