Find healthy alternatives for the things that you like aka snacks. Spread your snacks out throughout the day. Cut them in half or take a portion out and put bag or container away so you don’t sit there eating the whole thing. Tracking your food is the most accurate way. 3.) DRINK THAT WATER!! 👏🏻👏🏻Drink more water than any other beverage. Drink it throughout the day. As of last week going forward I will being doing my trainings primarily in the calisthenics realm so that I can master my own body. Only time I will be using a form of weights will be kettlebells, sled/prowler, weighted vest, even a steel Indian club/mace (if I have access to those though) But in this video I’ve decided to start it off with the easiest workouts. Why? Because yes I know I can obviously do wall push ups and such, but what about training where even the smallest of muscles groups get worked out. Well that’s where adding a lot of reps come into play. Could even help to heal/develop ligament/tendon strength. So I started it with wall push ups and felt it in my anterior deltoids, then progressed to doing vertical pulls but I was good with that so now I just need to put the time into horizontal pulls at this point which should help to clear up elbow issues I even have to work up to pull ups. Then worked with my Kettlebell doing two arm press for time, and then fingertip push ups incline, and man I feeling it 😅😅😅. . . (PS: I don’t own the music in the background) . . #CHASETHEPUMP Cell swelling, or "the pump" is a common observation following heavy load resistance training. Unfortunately, "the pump" doesn't really happen with light loads unless pushed to significant fatigue which takes alot of time (repetitions). BFR, or blood flow restriction training can increase cell swelling compared to low-load free flow exercise when performed using the same amount of repetitions. "The pump" is an easily observable phenomena that screams to us that beneficial hypertrophic signaling is occurring. 🤦🏻‍♀️As an intuitive nutrition coach, getting these kinds of texts from my clients is super frustrating. Why does exercise just have to be about burning calories? Why do we look at exercise as something to make up for the food we ate, instead of as something good we do for ourselves that improves the quality of our lives? Studies have shown that your Apple Watch, Fit Bit, and Whoop could be off by up to 60% when it comes to your calorie burn. While these trackers take into account height, weight, gender, etc, there are some things about your body that it’s impossible for these gadgets to know. It’s purely guessing about your relative proportion of muscle to fat, and those things have a lot to do with your resting energy expenditure (how much energy you use just sitting around). Your calorie burn also varies from day to day, even within the same activity. Calorie burn depends on your hormone levels, how much you’ve eaten today, how much you ate yesterday, and lots more. Our bodies are incredibly complex machines, and there’s no way a device we wear on our wrist could know anything precise about our physiology. So who cares? Instead of viewing exercise as a way to burn off the food you ate, think of it as a form of self-care. Something you do to ensure longevity and health, not to burn off an arbitrary number of calories. ⬇️Are you addicted to your fitness tracker? When was the last time you took it off? A child going through treatment is often quarantined in the home. Siblings can't have friends over; visitors are asked to wear a mask, sporting events, and birthday parties are postponed. The reality is that loneliness is common.✨⁣ ⁣ Sunrise ALWAYS puts the children's needs first to ensure they get the best experiences they deserve, regardless of the circumstances. And given that they don't plan on stopping until there is a cure, I don't intend to stop supporting them until then! ✨⁣ ⁣ So help me help them, and let's do this!✨

So today I woke up... Unmotivated Feeling like... what’s the point? Feeling unsure if my actions were footsteps on the path I wanted to take. I had been lacking balance in my life. I was too hyper focused on some things to realize I wasn’t leaving time for other things I cared about. I felt scattered. Run down. My fuel on low. I could have used that as the excuse to throw in the towel. But what did I do? I erased all of my “To-Do’s” on my White Board. I let go of all my personal expectations that weren’t serving me. I looked at the clean board. The clean slate. I reflected on this year’s struggles and personal strides. And I ALLOWED MYSELF TO DREAM. And suddenly, I was on my feet. I knew what I wanted. And my fire was set to get there. A GOAL is ONLY as good as the HEART AND PASSION BEHIND IT. And we have to FUEL that passion. We have to ALLOW ourselves to CREATE and MANIFEST BODLY. We have to BUILD this BELIEF. You can’t win a battle without an armor and sword. Our ARMOR: what we add on top of who we are to make us stronger. Sources that provide inspiration, self reflection, and PERSONAL GROWTH. Podcasts, books, meditation, journaling, scriptures, prayer. The world is going to try to beat you down. Tell you you can’t. What do you have in place to protect yourself and keep going? OUR SWORD: what we use through action to overcome obstacles. Like a sword, these take an exemplary skill. Practice and consistent execution over and over. SELF DISCIPLINE. What tools do you have in place to ensure you are working towards your goals, regardless of the day? I’m not saying I have it made. That I’m exactly where I want to be and don’t have anything else to learn. And I WILL NEVER GET THERE. I will chose to live a life full of constant growth and determination. Because it is through effort and constant evolution that we find consistent happiness. So I felt unmotivated. But I didn’t let that feeling control my day. My mindset, my belief. My life.
