Next Steps • • • Been off my grind for the past few weeks...tbh probably the entire month... and while it has been relaxing (to a point) to give my body a break from intense exercise and healthier eating choices, it just doesn't feel like me. I like pushing myself with a challenge... daily... whatever that may be. Lately, I just haven't been doing that and it throws me out of whack so here we are! • 5k active steps per day is the goal for the next month ✨ (inspired by @hollifullbright ) 🙋🏽‍♀️Who's joining?! Keeping myself accountable (and so is Kodi 😉) with my @methreesixty! Monitoring weekly to see if I’m staying on track towards my goal. I took this picture on March 16th, 2020.⁣ ⁣ I thought it was going to be a normal Monday. My alarm was set for my first client and my clothes were placed neatly in a pile beside my bed. But an alert on my phone confirmed what I had feared might be inevitable: All gyms in the city mandated to close due to COVID19. I would not be going into the gym to see my clients that day- or any day in the months that followed. ⁣ ⁣ 2 weeks. Gyms would be closed for 2 weeks. Maybe a month, tops. That thought petrified me. But, I would adapt for now, I thought. I could make it work for a few weeks. We would make it through. ⁣ ⁣ I never believed 5 months later, I would be fully operating as a remote trainer from my apartment, with no clear sign of gyms reopening in the near future.⁣ ⁣ I thought we were adapting for a short time, and that we would go back. But as July turns to August, “going back” feels like an impossibility. And though that thought is petrifying, it’s also filled with opportunity. What’s next? I literally have no idea. Not a clue. The type-a, planner in me desperately wants to write out a roadmap, plot a course of action. And I keep trying, only to come to the conclusion that I cannot- the unknowns are far too great. So, we’re left with open-ended opportunity. Yous guys, it’s MONDAYYY!
