hi lovies ! I’m sure you guys missed this pose just as much as I did !! . Today is gloomy & rainy & oh man is it humid here 🤢 thankfully I wore some color to fix the grey day!! I know I’ve been slacking on some workout content, but I’ve been focusing on trying to enjoy my workouts. Going into work early means working out beforehand and I prefer having a lil extra time for coffee 😉 I promise I’ll have videos soon !! . Selfie + a piece of my mind day 9: Today I took a nap and it ran longer than I expected so I rushed to the gym before they closed. I only had about 45 minutes to work out.. AND it was leg day!!! YOU BET I MADE THOSE 45 MINUTES COUNT‼️ Tbh, I had such a 🔥 leg day that it made me doubt my other 1 hour+ workouts 😂 You really DON’T NEED that much time if you are focused, never touch your phone, and you know you have to GET THAT PUMP BEFORE THEY CLOSE! Lol. OH AND I HAVE TO GET SNATCHED AF FOR THIS WEDDINGGG🎉 Who needs a short workout sent to their DMs??? I’m gonna be sending them from 10 p.m.-12 a.m. tonight. YOU DONT NEED TO BE IN A CALORIE DEFICIT 7 DAYS A WEEK TO LOSE FAT . Yep you read that right!!! Whilst a calorie deficit is absolutely essential for fat loss, there are many different ways of creating this, and you don’t actually have to be in a calorie deficit 7 days a week (yes more food I’m thinking of you!!) 🤓 . If you are struggling with hitting your daily calorie deficit, it can be useful to think of a “weekly calorie budget” rather than a daily calorie deficit. Let me explain 👇🏼 . 1lb of fat = approx 3,500 calories . ⬇️STANDARD APPROACH: 500 calorie deficit x 7 days per week = 3500 calorie deficit per week = 1lb of fat lost✅ . ⬇️CALORIE BUDGET APPROACH EXAMPLE: Daily maintenance = 2,300 calories Daily calorie deficit would be = 1,800 calories Weekly calorie deficit budget = 12,600 calories 2 x HIGH DAY: 2,300 calories 2 x LOW DAY: 1,300 calories 3 x MODERATE DAY: 1,800 calories = weekly deficit of 3,500 calories = 1lb fat lost✅ . 🚫 REMEMBER: this approach won’t suit everyone!! Especially for beginners to tracking macros, it can be easier to just stick with a consistent daily calorie deficit as you are still learning HUGE lessons calorie content of foods and what a day of eating for fat loss would look like 🤷🏼‍♀️ . However if you are slightly more advanced and comfortable with tracking macros, this can be a fun way to have a higher calorie allowance (for example at the weekend🍔🍟🍕) and incorporate lower calories day in the week (for example on rest days😴) whilst still achieving your fat loss goals✅. As always, listen to your body and ENJOY THE PROCESS of finding out what works for you, fat loss and fitness does NOT have to be rigid and boring!! 🥳
