For starters, eating a “plant-based diet” does not always mean you will be eating as a strict vegetarian or vegan, although this is often the misconception people get when they hear this term. Vegetarianism is a very healthy choice as well, but people often avoid it because of concerns that it will be very strict and difficult. Eating a plant-based diet means that the majority of your food will be plant-based, but not necessarily all. Plants include fruits and vegetables, grains and legumes, and nuts and seeds. Within these 3 plant-based food groups you will find every bit of nutrition your body needs to be healthy, and with a little creativity, you can make a wide variety of meals. A plant-based diet can be as unique as the person who chooses it. ​It is recommended that when switching to a plant-based diet, you do not make dramatic changes that don’t feel comfortable, as they are less likely to become habits. Rather, make gradual shifts with small proportions of vegetables, grains, and meats, adding in more meatless meals as time goes by. When switching to a plant-based diet it is also recommended to: *Incorporate a variety of plants in your diet as each one has different nutrients to offer. *Avoid highly processed plant foods such as potato chips, crackers, and cookies as they don’t provide the health benefits that unprocessed plant foods provide. *Avoid any plant foods with large amounts of added sugars and fat. Coat the cauliflower rosettes in batter and put them on a tray lined with parchment paper. ⠀⁣ Bake in the preheated oven at 230°C / 450°F circulation heat for 20-25 mins until golden and crispy. ⠀⁣ Glaze:⠀⁣ 40g / 1/4 cup of vegan butter ⠀⁣ Bbq sauce to taste⠀⁣ Hot sauce or chili flakes⠀⁣ ⠀⁣ Method:⠀⁣ Melt the butter, combine it with the bbq sauce and hot sauce or chili flakes. ⠀⁣ Take the cauliflower wings out of the oven and coat them with the glaze. ⠀⁣ Bake for another 10-15 mins until golden brown. ⠀⁣ Sour cream dip:⠀⁣ 3-4 Tbsp vegan Greek yogurt / skyr ⠀⁣ Frozen or fresh herbs (Parsley, chives, dill)⠀⁣ 1 1/2 tsp salt⠀⁣ Pepper⠀⁣ 1 tsp garlic powder ⠀⁣ Some lemon juice⠀⁣ ⠀⁣ Method:⠀⁣ Mix all of your ingredients to taste.

🤩 Stuffed cabbage rolls 📷 by @woon.heng 🌿🌿 If you love cabbage and asian food, you definately have to try this one🤩 . Recipe (yields 12 rolls)⁣ 🌱Ingredients:⁣ ~ 12 Napa cabbage leaves, cleaned & white part trimmed off⁣ ~ 14oz extra firm tofu, drained & mashed (used a cheesecloth to squeeze all the liquid out) ~ 1/4 cup chopped carrot⁣ ~ 1/4 cup frozen peas⁣ ~ 4 caps mushrooms⁣, diced ~ 4oz water chestnuts, diced ~ 1 teaspoon cornstarch⁣ ~ oil, sesame oil, white pepper, salt to taste⁣ 🌱Sauce: 1 cup veggie stock, 1 teaspoon stir fry sauce/soy sauce, cornstarch slurry, salt & white pepper to taste⁣ ⁣ ✅To make the filling, sauté mushrooms in 2 teaspoons oil until aromatic, then continue to stir fry carrot for about 2 mins over low-med heat. Place mushrooms, carrots, mashed tofu, peas & chestnuts in a mixing bowl. Season with 3 teaspoons sesame oil, 1 teaspoon salt & a few dashes of white pepper (season accordingly). Using a spatula, mix in cornstarch until all incorporated & set aside.⁣ ✅Bring a pot of water to boil & season with a pinch of salt. Blanch cabbage leaves for about 1 min or until slightly soft. Remove & pat dry with a paper towel. ⁣ ✅To make the cabbage roll, take about 1-2 tablespoons of filling & form it into a thick log shape. Place the filling in the middle of the cooked cabbage leaf, then roll to wrap it. Continue until you are done with all the mixture, then steam the rolls over high heat for 8-10 mins.⁣ ✅Meanwhile, make the sauce by adding veggie stock in a shallow pot & bring it to boil. Season it with stir fry sauce/soy sauce & stir in the cornstarch slurry & cook for 1 min until it thickens (season with more salt if needed).⁣ ✅When the rolls are done steaming, drain the extra liquid (if any) & then ladle the sauce over.
